Our History

Established in 1945 and under new management since 1976, Chicago Elevator Company is a local independent full service elevator contractor. From 1945 to 1976, CEC installed new elevators in buildings throughout the Chicagoland area.

Under new ownership, the company cut back its new elevator construction operation and expanded its maintenance and moderization departments. Sales have shown a steady increase since the change in ownership and the later aquisition of Sievert Elevator (ABC) in July of 1991. The future of CEC looks promising due to the advancing technology and the changing needs of our customers. We look forward to meeting the challenges of tomorrow.
